Welcome students, staff, parents and guardians to the 2011-2012 school year. My goals for the upcoming school year are; to focus on the four key questions of the PLC model, 1. What do we want students to learn? 2. How will we know if they learned it? 3. What do we do when they do? 4. What do we do when they don’t? Look at new grading practices, improve the CST and CAHSEE proficiency scores and to work on a school-wide intervention plan for students. Valley View High School is a safe and positive learning environment with a staff that embraces all students. Valley View High School students have the opportunity to join clubs, extra-curricular and co-curricular programs and enroll in college prep courses to assist in enriching their high school experience.

I would also like to take this opportunity to remind all students and parents that the electronic device policy will be strictly enforced, there are no electronic devices permitted on campus including, iPods, PSP players, ear buds, cameras, etc. Please make sure these items remain off campus.
